It used to be a suprise when we'd get a phone call or email from a prospective client asking if we could help them clean up a mess left by their old web designer. At first it was perplexing to think that someone would leave a job undone or simply disappear (usually with their money). After dealing with this for the past few years it no longer comes as a suprise anymore. The reason this happens so often is because now-a-days anyone with a laptop, a little know how in Photoshop or HTML thinks they can be a web designer. It seems like everyone has a friend, neighbor, or relative that is a web designer so why would anyone need a real professional designer. Why spend the extra money? Consequently follow up work and adjustments quickly add up making the end product more expensive than if you would have built it right from the start.
